After seeing the latest offroad videos I thought it might be prudent to mention the following...
As an official offroad group being sponsored by a local business I think it is important that we keep legality and conservation in mind on all of our offroad ventures. We must always stay on trails and not damage the environment. If the DNR, local law enforcement, or other agencies take notice of our trail habits, it could mean trouble for the group, for individuals, and even for our sponsor.
I am not trying to be a party pooper. I have a lot of fun out there as well, and I personally don't think running over a tree by accident is a big deal, or jumping over a mound of dirt, and I have done both myself, but for those who might not be aware, the DNR could take a different view.
Everyone should be aware. I think we should create a list of rules/guidelines for the club so that all members are aware of the laws, etiquette, and safety suggestions for driving offroad. I don't want anyone to get in trouble or hurt, including our sponsor.
With that said, I am sorry I missed this last trip, looks like it was a blast!!
Sincerely,
Kevin

I completly agree. I would encourage individual club members and the club as a whole to join the Great Lakes Four Wheel Drive Association. They are a great resource for what and where is legal to wheel and also what is going on in our state government that effects our sport. As we grow as a club we also need to show those that would like to limit our forest access that we are not doing any harm out there.
